Chris Paul is staying put_for now. But I think it’s clear that Paul wants OUT of New Orleans (based on his very public grumblings) and was hoping to get it done ..that is UNTIL he met with the Hornet’s big wigs yesterday (Monday) during which the Hornets made it clear to Paul that they have ZERO interest in trading their “brand name” star to any team at this time….which explains Paul’s sudden about-face. He has 2 more yrs on his contract and the Hornets expect him to suck-it-up, get with program (meaning Stop-complaining) and play b-ball. Bigger picture:Has the partnering of Lebron, Wade and Bosh stirred the imagination of other good and great players who want to play together but until now were reluctant to entertain the possibility? I'd say: Yes.Will the NBA begin to see a bit of “trend” of great players “positioning” themselves to optimize the possibility of playing on a team along-side players of THEIR choice? Again, I’d say: Yes. But we shall see.If so…would it be "the opening of Pandora's box and a nightmare of an idea in the long run"_?I really don't know(?)
