Lexus Hoverboard Has Arrived!
If you’ve been waiting to go “Back to the Future,” the new Lexus Hoverboard may be the closest to the “Jetsons” age you might ever come.

Called “Slide,” The Lexus Hoverboard is a skateboard-like device that floats a few inches above the ground, providing the ultimate in futuristic, personal travel. To pull off the seemingly impossible feat of floating over land, the board contains a series of magnets and superconductors that are cooled by liquid nitrogen. Talk about futuristic!
The company first teased the Lexus Hoverboard back in late June, prompting skeptics to immediately dismiss it as a fake marketing stunt. Well, it’s not. The Lexus Hoverboard is real, the proof is here and Lexus has created it for exclusively elevating the company’s brand image.
Although the Lexus Hoverboard is a spectacular marvel of technology, don’t expect to see it on your local streets anytime soon. The levitation effect of supercooled superconductors requires lots and lots of magnets built into the ground for the board to be operational. The company has built a custom skate park in Barcelona, Spain, where it can be used. However, this is the only existing site in the world (for now) for the Lexus Hoverboard to soar!
