Made In America Week Is Trump Political Theater
Hey, folks, did you know it’s Made In America week at The White House? No? Well, don’t feel bad. Apparently, Donald Trump didn’t know it either!
Current Events
On Monday, Trump officially declared the next 7 days as Made In America Week. He dubbed this a celebration of US industry and products and even unveiled a beautiful showcase of goods made in each of the 50 states. “The Donald” was joined by White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer, who proclaimed that this week is a time when all Americans should celebrate Trump’s promise to “deliver for America’s workers,” as well as “maximize … the use of goods, products, and materials produced in the United States.”
The concept of Made In America Week is a brilliantly patriotic idea on paper — until you realize that it’s actually a piece of poor political theater concocted by a man who is hypocritical toward his own make-believe holiday.
Yes, Donald Trump stood at a White House podium and urged all citizens to buy American and to make sure all their goods are produced in America. He was even accompanied by a smiling Mike Pence standing behind him, nodding his head like a Baptist deacon on a Sunday morning. However, do not be fooled, America. Donald Trump is a hypocrite.
According to The Washington Post, Trump Organization shirts, ties, suits, glasses, housewares, cologne, vodka, and other goods are ALL made in overseas factories. Even First-daughter Ivanka Trump has her designer clothing line stitched by poorly paid foreign labor.
To show just how much of a joke Donald’s ‘Made In America Week’ truly is, Sam Stein of The Daily Beast visited the gift shop at Trump’s Washington hotel and instantly found the place filled with goods from China, Vietnam, and Peru.
Current Events
When asked to explain how Donald Trump could stage an event asking citizens to honor American products when he ignores the practice himself, Spicer was once again charged with the impossible task of trying to make sense of the Trump logic.
“With respect to his own companies, obviously it’s inappropriate to discuss how anything would affect their own companies,” Spicer mumbled. “But I can tell you that, in some cases, there are certain supply chains or scalability that may not be available in this country.”
Spicer then attempted to intimate that his boss is working to change his foreign ways.
“I’m not going to comment on specific products, but I will tell you that the overall, arching goal, of course, though, is to grow manufacturing — to grow and invest here in the United States and to grow U.S. workers here. So that remains the overall objective,” Spicer was able to blurt out with a straight face.
Yeah, right.
So, um… Happy ‘Made In America Week’ America. Too bad Donald Trump isn’t practicing what he preaches!

You know….it’s too the point I can’t even think about this ridicules clown and his crew without thinking of the Three Stooges – him being the head stooge of course. .
There is just absolutely NO ethical or moral standard too low for him (or his people) to go.
And he/they are so delusional they’ve convinced themselves that everyone is as gullible as the people who voted for the guy!?!
What an absolute joke of a presidency.
