An Idaho man has been fired from his job and charged with assault, after allegedly slapping a crying baby during a recent Delta Airlines flight, then telling the mother to “shut that N*gger baby up!”
Jessica Bennett told authorities her adopted son was crying as the Atlanta bound flight prepared for landing. Then 60-year-old Joe Rickey Hundley, who was sitting next to her, slapped the boy in his face and caused a scratch under his right eye.
Hundley “told her to shut that (N-word) baby up,” FBI special agent Daron Cheney said in a sworn statement. “Ms. Bennett received assistance from several people on the plane.”
“Hundley’s comments were racist and hateful,” the baby’s mother said in a statement. “The family has numerous questions about how a passenger could get so violently out of control as to assault a toddler.”
Since the incident, Hundley has been suspended from his job as president of Unitech Composites and Structures. According to Al Haase, president and chief executive of AGC Aerospace and Defense, Composites Group – Unitech’s parent company – the firm is taking the matter seriously.
“In accordance with our company’s personal conduct policy, we have suspended the employee pending investigation.”
This is CLEARLY a hate crime and this asshole drunk racist is about to serve some time in the old “greybar hotel!”
