Every Saturday was clean up day and mama would wake us up and put the music on so we could get to cleaning. We even had a place in Chicago called the Regal Theater that had all the music acts come and perform. I remember being a real little boy going there seeing the Supremes. RIP to Mary Wilson.

I grew up in a house where MUSIC reigned/and reigns Supreme…period. But especially the sounds of The Temptations, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, The Supremes and The Four Tops- those were among my (late) father’s favorites. And he played records/albums by those groups and many other incredible music artists all the time.

I could go on and on about how being exposed to a plethora of such incredible music (since birth) impacted my life personally and the lives of my sibs…but I’ll stop here. (smile)
