McCain vs. Trump War Of Words Escalates
Make no bones about it — Republican Sen. John McCain and Donald Trump do not like each other. As in AT ALL! The 2 men are in a public spat that seems to be growing nastier by the day with no end in sight.

The McCain vs. Trump war of words seemingly began in July of last year, when Trump made an unnecessarily rude remark against the Arizona Republican during an Iowa campaign stop.
“He’s not a war hero,” Trump said of McCain. “He was [only] a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”
Ouch!
The comment was made in reference to the 6 years McCain spent in a North Vietnamese prison camp, where he was tortured and beaten and suffered injuries that no longer allow him to raise his arms above his shoulders.
When asked days later if he owed McCain an apology, Trump was indignant.
“No, not at all,” he said. “People that fought hard and weren’t captured and went through a lot, they get no credit. Nobody even talks about them. They’re, like, forgotten. And I think that’s a shame, if you want to know the truth.”
Needless to say, McCain never forgot Trump’s low-blow and has seized every opportunity since to stick it to “The Donald.”
As the lone Republican senator who was Trump’s last hope to overturn Obamacare, John McCain got out of his Arizona hospital bed battling cancer and flew back to Washington just to give Trump the middle finger and vote NO!
Since then, the 2 men have sniped back and forth at each other, until this weekend when the GOP senator known as “The Maverick” landed a doozy against “The Donald.”

During an interview with C-SPAN about the Vietnam War, Sen. McCain had this to say:
“One aspect of the conflict, by the way, that I will never, ever countenance is that we drafted the lowest income level of America, and the highest income level found a doctor that would say they had a bone spur. That is wrong. That is wrong. If we are going to ask every American to serve, every American should serve.”
Although McCain never mentioned any names, anyone with a heartbeat could clearly tell he was talking about Donald Trump, whose wealth and status permitted him 5 deferments against being drafted into the Vietnam War — including one for bone spurs.
Yes, despite being in perfect health at the time, Trump was granted a draft-dodging diagnosis of bone spurs from a willing doctor who successfully kept him out of the war.
“I had a doctor that gave me a letter — a very strong letter on the heels,” Trump said adding that the problem was “temporary” and “minor.” Still, Trump was unable to explain how such a “minor” ailment allowed him 4 additional war deferments.
During the C-SPAN interview, Sen. McCain was asked to elaborate and he did not disappoint, making it very clear that he doesn’t hold an ounce of respect for the type of life Trump has lived.
“He is in the business of making money, and he has been successful both in television as well as Miss America and others. I was raised in the concept and belief that duty, honor, country is the lodestar for behavior that we have to exhibit every single day.”
When asked if he was aware of McCain’s diss, Trump went immediately into his customary “bully-mode.”
“Yeah, well I hear it. And people have to be careful because at some point I fight back,” Trump said. “I’m being very nice. I’m being very, very nice. But at some point I fight back, and it won’t be pretty.”

Trump hates McCain for pretty much the same reason he hates Obama….deep down inside he knows they are ALL the things he could NEVER be, beginning with being a Real Man. John McCain could’ve pulled a “Trump” and chickened out of serving his country 5 TIMES during the Vietnam War. Instead he chose to serve And after McCain was taken prisoner, he was offered an early release out of respect for who he was – the son and grandson of 2 highly decorated military men. Instead McCain chose to remain a POW for 5 and 1/2 long years – along with other American POWs. During that time he endured tortuous treatment which exacerbated very serious war-related injuries he had suffered to his right leg and both arms, when the aircraft bomber he was flying was shot down by a Vietnamese surface-to-air missile on Oct. 26, 1967. Trump is a 5X… Read more »
