On this Memorial Day weekend, as we all partake in barbecues, pool parties, and the unofficial beginning of summer, let us not forget the TRUE meaning of this holiday. Six years ago American soldiers were sent into Iraq. Like soldiers before them, many came home in a flag draped coffin. They were mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, and sisters, whose lives ended in battle. They were real people. These are their NAMES. Let us not forget them or any soldier who lost their life in war. On this and every Memorial Day, don’t forget to REMEMBER those for whom this day is for!
