Remember the George W. Bush years? A president who wasted our financial surplus and threw us into debt? The years of financial and economic ruin, overspending, multiple wars NOT against Osama Bin Laden, tearing down Iraq only to pay Dick Cheney’s oil cronies at Halliburton to rebuild it? Remember the 2000 election, hanging chads in Florida and how if only 537 more people had voted there would have been a different outcome? Remember an America on the brink of total collapse and bankruptcy only weeks before Bush was set to leave the White House?
Remember how we felt the day Barack Obama was elected the first African-American President of the United States? Remember how unified as a nation we felt the day he was inaugurated? Remember the financial and economic devastation George W. Bush handed him the day he walked into the Oval Office? Remember how President Obama saved the nation from the catastrophic collapse Bush created? Remember how President Obama salvaged the American auto industry and did not allow thousands of American auto workers to be without a job, when Mitt Romney suggested to let the auto industry go bankrupt?
Tomorrow is election day. As you prepare to cast your ballot, remember the prosperous years of the Clinton era. Remember the 8 years of hardship and devastation of the Bush era. Then remember the 4 years President Obama had to clean up the dirty mess Bush left behind and how much of a near impossible task it was for ANYONE!
