“Facebook” is no more. Long live META!

On Thursday, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg kept his promise to change the name of Facebook to something that was more inclusive of its other products, including Instagram and Whatsapp.
That new name has now been made public.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about our identity,” Zuckerberg said during a virtual event. “Over time, I hope we’re seen as a metaverse company.”
META hopes that by rebranding itself under a new name, social media users will miraculously forget about all the negative experiences while the company was still known as “Facebook.”
Yeah, good luck with that one!
