MICHAEL JACKSON’S ‘THIS IS IT’
“This is it, here I stand
I’m the light of the world I feel grand
This love, I can feel
And I know yet we’re sure it is real”
I’m the light of the world I feel grand
This love, I can feel
And I know yet we’re sure it is real”
These are the lyrics to Michael Jackson’s final song, which was released in the wee hours of the morning today. It’s an eerily prophetic tribute to the King of Pop who passed away during the summer. And a unique backstory to the song is that his brothers, former members of the JACKSON FIVE are all singing background on the tune.
A regular and orchestral version of the song will appear on the THIS IS IT album to be released on October 27th, which will also serve as the theme song for the movie version of the same name, to be in theatres on October 28th.

IMO, the song sounds like something he wrote 10-15 years ago. I don’t care for the melody or the lyrics. He may have actually believed he was “the light of the world” AND “invincible” ta boot. But I really don't think he actually felt loved, as evidenced by his self-destructive habits and addictions.Poor fella.
