MITT: “I Didn’t Mean 47% Remark”
Buoyed by his strong debate “performance” (pun intended) last week, Mitt Romney is now hoping the American people will continue suffering from amnesia and be willing to permit him a do-over from his past transgressions.
In an interview yesterday with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, Romney attempted to erase his “47%” comment as if it never happened. The man who was caught on tape saying he doesn’t care about 47% of America, suddenly tried to be a champion of the middle class and working families during his CNN interview.
“I was referring to politics and it didn’t come out the way I intended,” Mitt said of his recorded words. Really?
The man clearly said “I don’t worry about 47% of Americans” on tape. So does he seriously believe we’re all ignorant enough to buy his disappearing act of pretending he never really meant it?
