Oh wow I didn't know about ay of this Truth. Thanks for sharing. And thanks for this nice tribute DJ. One of my coworkers was saying how it's a good thing Ali lived when he did. Because a Muslim activist speaking his mind and not being afraid to call people out would not fly today. They wouldn't be calling him the greatest in this era. RIP champ.

The thing that has really struck me about Ali…who he was…is that he left the Nation of Islam back in 1975, following the death of Elijah Muhammad. He then converted to Sunni Islam before finally embracing Sufi Islam in 2005:

By 2005 Ali had become more spiritual than religious, his daughter Hana Yasmeen Ali told Beliefnet. He embraced Sufi Islam and followed the teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan.
