Rupert Murdoch has finally admitted that he and his news network are liars. Has hell frozen over??

During a $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems, Fox News honcho Rupert Murdoch was forced to come clean and reveal the truth under oath. He said he and his network knew Donald Trump’s election fraud claims from the 2020 presidential election were a lie but still reported them (as fact) anyway.
According to The New York Times, Murdoch conceded that several hired hosts on his network knowingly promoted the false narrative (read: propaganda) that the 2020 election was stolen from Donald J. Trump. He also acknowledged that he could have stopped the lies but didn’t out of deference to Trump.
“Some of our commentators were endorsing it,” Murdoch said under oath about Fox hosts Sean Hannity, Jeanine Pirro, Lou Dobbs, and Maria Bartiromo blatantly promoting Trump’s claims of fraud. “I would have liked us to be stronger in denouncing it in hindsight,” he added while claiming he was always dubious of Trump’s charges.
“Yes. I mean, we thought everything was on the up-and-up,” Murdoch expressed in a late attempt to save face.
The lawsuit has revealed that not only did Trump coerce Fox into lying on his behalf in hopes of overturning the 2020 presidential election in his favor, but Fox went a step further. They claimed the Dominion voting machines were able to run a secret algorithm that switched votes from one candidate to another — and that the company was founded in Venezuela to help former President Hugo Chávez fix elections.
However, the Fox honcho now confesses it was all make-believe.
Interestingly, it took Murdoch 3 years and a billion-dollar lawsuit to force him to finally say the quiet part out loud: Fox News served as a shill for Donald Trump and the Republican Party and deliberately delivered fake news for years about election fraud from 2020 that never existed.
Now, Fox lawyers are trying to walk back Murdoch’s admission in order to avoid losing the billion-dollar lawsuit.
“Far from reporting the allegations as true, hosts informed their audiences at every turn that the allegations were just allegations that would need to be proven in court in short order if they were going to impact the outcome of the election,” Fox lawyers said in their filing. “And to the extent some hosts commented on the allegations, that commentary is independently protected opinion.”
A Fox News spokeswoman weighed in on Monday by claiming that Dominion’s case “has always been more about what will generate headlines than what can withstand legal scrutiny.”
Still, it appears all but certain that Fox hasn’t a leg to stand on in the lawsuit against them.
“There appears to be a pretty good argument that Fox endorsed the accuracy of what was being said,” revealed Lee Levine, a veteran First Amendment lawyer who has defended major media organizations in defamation cases.
“I’d much rather be in Dominion’s shoes than Fox’s right now,” he concluded.

I don’t think most Americans are surprised by this news. But I will admit that having Murdoch, himself, admit it (albeit under oath) is quite something!
Like Trump and his 3 oldest kids, Murdoch and his adult kids are craven and corrupt White trash with money. They couldn’t care less about our country or our democracy.
Murdoch: “It’s not red or blue. It’s green.”
And I find it absolutely ironic that Murdoch is reported to have nothing but distain for Trump. No doubt because Murdoch views Trump as beneath him. An “inferior” if you will.
