Before we continue, perhaps a moment of silence is in order for last years iPhone 5. R.I.P iPhone 5, as the top news today is that Apple completely killed off its most recent premium model, sending it to the depths of Craigslist and eBay for all eternity. Yes, Apple now offers just 3 models in its fleet of devices: the iPhone 4s (which will be free with a contract) and the new 5c and 5s.
The new iPhone 5c is the lower end model, made of plastic and available in a variety of colors, including green, gray, light blue, peach and yellow. The 5c (for cheap) is basically the former iPhone 5, except with a polycarbonate shell — and it is cheap: $99 for the 16GB model and $199 for the 32GB one.

The new iPhone 5s is now Apple’s premiere model. Available in black, silver and “champagne” (yes, CHAMPAGNE), it comes with a new A7 chip that gamers will love, a new camera with stabilizers, a “TruTone” flash for color balance and more. The 5s will also come with iPhoto, iWork, iMovie, Pages and Numbers built in for free.
But the innovative new feature from Apple (available on the 5s only) is a new security sensor called “Touch ID.” Instead of pressing the Home button then typing in a 4 digit password to open the device, Touch ID will “Open Sesame” exclusively for you just by sensing your fingerprint. Touch ID will also prevent you from having to enter your Apple ID when making purchases from the iTunes or App Store. Impressive!

Apple’s previously announced new OS 7 will be available for everyone beginning next Wednesday, September 18th, and the new iPhone 5c and 5s will go on sale September 20th.

I don't think this iPhone is all that big a deal. Apple has to do more than little changes every year. They used to be the leader in phones, now they're just followers. The 5s is basically the 5 they just stopped selling. Stop trying to fool us.
