If you’re a user of Facebook, get ready for automated face detection photo-tagging!
Facebook has announced it is testing a new feature (which some users already starting using last week), that decreases or even eliminates the tedious process of “tagging” friends in Facebook photos. Currently, users upload photos, click on each face in a photo, tag that photo with the friend’s name for identity, then begin the process all over again with each individual photo.
But now, Facebook has implemented face detection technology, which will find faces in photos and automatically tag them for you, thereby eliminating one of the most tedious steps in all of Facebook. Your friends are selected by the software — then all you have to do is answer the Facebook prompt, “Whose face is this?”
This is the first of what is said to be a series of new features for Facebook photos.
I see that FaceBook is continuing it's quest to have this social network where every one's privacy is at risk! I am starting to get really annoyed and turned off with this website and is considering deleting the account altogether.
