Let’s face it. Trump did not have an army of qualified people to fill government and administration posts. He had to fill positions from the Neocon pool of bureaucrats. Nikki Haley is a mind-numbed robot, drunk on Neocon Kool-Aid and Pre-millennial Dispensationalism. Really sad that Trump picked her for the UN slot. Even sadder is he will replace her with someone just as bad, but more clever at disguising a rotten foreign policy. […]

I don’t think this was a coincidence at all. Like Truth and DJ said she was not ever a fan of Trump. She also didn’t like the whole Kavanagh thing. But I do think this was all a plan. She is probably going to run for some political office so she had to quit and start distancing herself from Trump. As for Trump who of us is surprised he lied about her telling him six months ago she wanted to leave. I don’t know how she stayed this long.

I’d also like to add…….

There’s been quite of bit of speculation, as per the American news media, about who Trump might choose to replace Sessions when Trump fires Session (after the mid-terms). People have suggested perhaps Lindsey Graham’s complete about-face regarding Trump (Lindsey APPEARS now to love Trump) is motivated by Lindsey’s desires to be Trump’s top choice to replace Session as the next U.S. Attorney General.

Lindsey Graham is, IMO, a vicious, arrogant, 2-faced, down-low hypocrite. He still despises Trump but he’s betting he can bamboozle Trump into giving him the job. And if Lindsey is appointed the next A.G. that would mean his seat will be open.

Perhaps Haley is eyeing his senate as her next possible opportunity(?) We shall see..

Honestly, I was surprised when Haley agreed to be a part of Trump’s cabinet because she was among the very few Repubs NOT willing to kiss-up to Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign. In fact she was so independent-minded that prior to 2016 she had demonstrated an Unwillingness to tow her party’s line when it came to other critical matters (SEE her orders as Governor of S.C. to remove the Confederate flag from the S.C. Statehouse following the Charleston Church Massacre, in June 2015).

I’m no cheer-leader for Nikki Haley. But I do believe she’s a Repub with a heart. I believe the sentiment she expressed regarding Dr. Ford, was genuine which naturally put her at odds with Trump and his supporters.

Given all that -I view her decision to resign her Ambassador’s position NOW as a calculated move. As DJ noted, “White House aides later acknowledged that her departure caught them all off guard.” Perhaps for her it comes down to this – she’s not willing to compromise all her principles in service to Trump. She’s worn out her welcome and she knows it so she figures now is as good a time as any to cut bait and move on.
