Donald Trump is just loaded with one brilliant idea after another. His latest gem: he wants to nuke hurricanes before they hit the US.

Yes, you read correctly and no, this is not satire. According to Axios, Donald Trump wants to drop nuclear bombs inside the eye of hurricanes in order to disrupt their path. Not surprisingly, ‘The Donald’ has given ZERO thought to the fact that the nuclear fallout would be worse than the actual hurricane. Still, that didn’t deter him from making the nuclear suggestion numerous times to the Department of Homeland Security.
“I got it. I got it. Why don’t we nuke them?” Trump reportedly shouted during a hurricane briefing inside The White House.
“They start forming off the coast of Africa, as they’re moving across the Atlantic, we drop a bomb inside the eye of the hurricane and it disrupts it. Why can’t we do that?”
Hmmm…
According to a White House source, those in attendance were shocked beyond belief at the very suggestion of using nuclear bombs as a hurricane deterrent.
“You could hear a gnat fart in that meeting,” the source said. “People were astonished. After the meeting ended, we thought, ‘What the f*ck? What do we do with this?'”
Realizing that ‘The Donald’ was beyond serious and recognizing the uncomfortableness among those in the room, the source said someone broke the ice and “said something to the effect of, ‘Sir, we’ll look into that.'”
The idea of nuking hurricanes was initially floated by Trump as far back as 2017 — despite the fact that multiple government scientists have made crystal clear it will not work.
In a fact sheet produced by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration entitled “Tropical Cyclone Myths Page,” detonating a nuclear weapon over a hurricane “might not even alter the storm,” and the idea “neglects the problem that the released radioactive fallout would fairly quickly move with the tradewinds to affect land areas and cause devastating environmental problems.”

Yep. Except for the fact, that Mike Pence would then be elevated to President, which would be just as troubling (if not more troubling) for Us, as a nation and a people.
The arsonist-and chief currently occupying the WH uses a bullhorn to announce when he’s about to pour gasoline all over the place and set fire to everything. The people in his inner circle then rush to take the matches away from him in hopes of minimizing the damage.
Pence is smart enough to keep his mouth shut until the damage he would inflict upon Us (and the world) is done. Pence could be even more dangerous than Trump.
