NY TIMES ‘OUTS’ DAVID PATERSON

Spread The Love
Remember that bombshell expose’ the New York Times was planning to release that was supposed to bring crashing down the political career of NY Gov. David Paterson?  Well, they published it alright.  And it sure came crashing down — ON THEM.  In short, it was A DUD!

The Source Magazine Announces The 1st Annual Peace WeekThe jest of the article, which was published last week, revolved around sealed 20 year old court records regarding David W. Johnson, a Paterson aide.  The Times and several anonymous sources whined that Johnson had become increasingly important on the Governor’s staff, despite the knowledge that he was arrested twice as a teen on felony drug charges and later for misdemeanor assault, which stemmed from reports that he once hit a woman.  And um….if you’re waiting for something more salacious than that…that was it!

HUH?  Were we all actually duped by the Gray Lady herself, the NEW YORK TIMES??  Was this the story that was seriously supposed to “out” David Paterson into political retirement??? Many of us have come to expect much more from a highly regarded news institution such as the Times. But instead of looking like a legitimate news source, the Times came out looking more like a cheap tabloid found at the check-out stand of any grocery store.  Hmmm…
