Obama Charm Offensive Failing
President Obama is on a charm offensive, angling to bring Democrats and Republicans together to solve the nation’s problems. But according to at least one White House official, it’s all a waste of the president’s valuable time!
Mr. Obama has taken to wining and dining several GOP leaders, in the hopes of finding common ground among lawmakers to move the business of America forward. However, Republicans seem reluctant to play along, choosing to revert to their obstructionist positions of the past.
“This is a joke. We’re wasting the president’s time and ours,” complained a senior White House official who was promised anonymity so he could speak frankly. “I hope you all (in the media) are happy because we’re doing it for you.”

He knows it's important that the American people sees him reaching out to the GOP one Last time. IF (by some miracle) he's able to achieve some measure of success with the GOP…then great. If not…the entire world will know that at least he tried. He will then truly be FREE to give the media and the GOP *the finger* (if you will) and get things done for the betterment of this nation by ANY means he deems necessary. He won re-election for a… Read more »
