Obama Has Greatest Week Ever!

Whoever said Barack Obama is a lame duck president who should simply ride out the remaining days of his presidency in silence, could not have been more wrong. In fact, Mr. Obama has just had the best 7 days of his entire presidency.

Unbiased Political News
According to a new CNN/ORC poll, 50% of Americans approve of the way Mr. Obama is handling his presidency. This is the first time since May of 2013 his approval numbers have surpassed 50% and there’s a very good reason why.

The past 7 days have been an absolute dream for the Obama White House. In fact, it’s doubtful a Hollywood writer could pen a more perfect script:

– President Obama fought and won the last hurdle regarding the Affordable Care Act in the Supreme Court, officially making “Obamacare” the law of the land.

– President Obama witnessed a shift in public opinion regarding the Confederate Flag on his watch.

– President Obama secured a congressional victory to fast-track authority on a massive Pacific trade deal.

– President Obama announced a series of executive orders that will protect up to 5 million undocumented immigrants from deportation.

– President Obama led the nation in singing “Amazing Grace” at the funeral service for Rev. Clementa Pinckney, who was 1 of 9 killed at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC.

– After years of fighting for marriage equality, President Obama witnessed the US Supreme Court ruling in favor of same-sex marriage in all 50 states.

Unbiased Political News
The president came into office with a lofty agenda, which somehow came together in a whirlwind week of back to back successes. Make no mistake, a politically savvy public has taken notice.

Obama ACAFor his efforts, Mr. Obama’s approval rating for handling the economy has climbed to 52%. This is the first time in nearly 6 years his handling of the economy has topped 50% in CNN/ORC polling.

A majority of Americans have also registered their satisfaction with the president’s handling of race relations, by extending a new 55% approval rating. This is unique, particularly amid dozens of protests and riots following the deaths of several African-American men at the hands of police officers, as well as the racially motivated shooting of 9 African-American churchgoers by a white man during a Charleston Bible study session.

So, exactly how does Mr. Obama feel about his most amazing week ever? During a recent press conference, the president assured reporters this was nowhere near his best week ever.

“Now my best week, I will tell you was marrying Michelle, that was a really good week,” the president said. “Malia and Sasha being born – excellent weeks. There was a game where I scored 27 points. That was a pretty good week,” Mr. Obama joked.

In a message to all those to expect him to sit quietly in the Oval Office and wait for his presidency to be over, Mr. Obama made it very clear: “We are going to squeeze every last ounce of progress that we can make as long as I have the privilege of holding this office.”

Mr. BD

Yeah that's my boy. Obama came into office really trying to do somethings for this country. If it wasn't for bitter Repubs trying to ruin him every chance they got he could have got more done. I'm just glad he got a chance to show the country he means business. And I'm happy about the approval rating too. Go Barack.

"Whoever said Barack Obama is a lame duck president who should simply ride out the remaining days of his presidency in silence, could not have been more wrong." That would, primarily, be cable news media. <looking directly at CNN> Faux News simply does not count. Frankly, from my observation of cable news, this President has routinely been Underestimated throughout his presidency. And though he has NOT always *led the way* as aggressively as I had hoped he would, I have long been impressed with his ability to rise above BS politics, stick to the long-view and eventually get much of the hard stuff done. At the slightest little push-back from Repubs those silly folk at CNN tend to immediately jump into OVERHYPE drive with "UH-OH! This is BAD news for Obama! This thing (his initiative) is probably going nowhere!" The typical BS overreaction presented as actual news journalism…smh. And time… Read more »
