Last night, President Obama delivered his annual State of the Union Address, which was also the 2nd to the last of his presidency.  However, instead of a predictable night of politics as usual, the night is being remembered best all across social media for one incredible improv of a zinger.

Unbiased Political News
The president began by delivering a laundry list of lofty promises that would likely make America better. However, with Republicans controlling both houses of congress, his offerings have about as much chance of getting passed as Dick Cheney has of coming out for gay marriage.  In other words, it ain’t gonna happen!

“My only agenda for the next 2 years is the same as the one I’ve had since the day I swore an oath on the steps of this Capitol: to do what I believe is best for America. If you share the broad vision I outlined tonight, join me in the work at hand,” Mr. Obama said.  And then, the zinger of the evening sprung out of nowhere.

Unbiased Political News
“I have no more campaigns to run,” the president said to an immediate interruption of thunderous applause from Republicans who were giddy at the notion that he could not run for president again.

Then, in a tone that only a true boss could deliver, Mr. Obama fired back: “I know because I won both of them,” prompting howls of laughter and support from Democrats throughout the House chambers.  It was a memorable moment that likely set the tone for Mr. Obama’s remaining 2 years in office.

Well done, Mr. President!
