This past Monday was the deadline to sign up for health insurance and Americans took to the Internet in record numbers to collect their coverage. On Monday alone, more than 4.8 million visits were made to the HealthCare.gov website and 2 million calls were made to the call center, according to White House officials. In total, 7,041,000 people picked a plan on the government run exchanges.
President Barack Obama addressed the milestone with a statement from the Rose Garden on Tuesday. “We surpassed everyone’s expectations,” Mr. Obama said, adding “That’s what the (law) is all about, making sure all of us and all our fellow citizens can count on the security of health care when we get sick. The law is doing what it’s supposed to do. It’s working. The Affordable Care Act is here to stay.”

The final success of “Obamacare” is credited to a huge surge in participation from young adults. Administration officials took to the radio airwaves by participating in 400 interviews, enlisted celebrities and athletes to promote the law, and engaged people on social media. Also, President Obama’s interview on the online comedy-cast “Between Two Ferns” with Zach Galifianakis, resulted in 33 million views of his mock interview with the comedian.
It is a fact that despite the disastrous roll-out, "ObamaCare" is indeed a Success…at least in the short-term.
Whether it will prove to be a Success in the long-term(?)…remains to be seen.
Though I have to say, count me among those who believes the ACA will be a Success in the long-term, thanks mostly to young-adults finally buying in.
Sidethought…….
No matter the TON of utter bullisht flung at THIS President by his many enemies on the right, and dem politicians (who, generally, are as weak-as-water) AND media hacks/whores….the Man and his presidency continue to Shine…lol.
