After enduring a verbal beat-down from Donald Trump and his cult-like followers, Rep. Ilhan Omar is fighting back — with love.

Last week, Donald Trump instigated a divisive and race-baiting fight with Rep. Omar as well as Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley. Trump told the freshmen congresswomen who are Native-American, Muslim, African-American, and Hispanic that if they don’t like America, they should “go back” to where they came from.
.
“So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run,” Trump tweeted.
Interestingly, Rep. Omar is from Minnesota, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez is from New York, Rep. Tlaib is from Michigan, and Rep. Pressley is from Massachusetts — so, they are already where they come from.
Next, ‘The Donald’ singled out Rep. Omar (who is Muslim) during a campaign rally in Greenville, NC, and whipped the crowd into a frenzy. His dog-whistle via words gave birth to a chant of “Send Her Back!” from the ravenous crowd.
Well, she did go back — to her home state of Minnesota — and received an overwhelming welcome of love and support from the constituents of her state.
“It is really good to be home,” Omar said to a standing ovation from the multi-racial crowd. “I know there are a lot of people that are trying to distract us now. But I want you to all to know that we are not going to let them. … You all sent me to Washington to do the important work of progressing our country,” she said.
Then, the Minnesota congresswoman took to Twitter and posted an excerpt from poet Maya Angelou’s “Still I Rise.”
“You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise.”

She then followed up by tweeting a photo of herself standing in the House of Representatives with the caption “I am where I belong, at the people’s house and you’re just gonna have to deal!”

Donald Trump and his crazed crowd may have won the day with their shouts of “Send Her Back!” However, Rep. Ilhan Omar won the race by elevating herself about the fray and remaining a professional and a true American.
Take a lesson, Donnie!

But too bad she (and her 3 Dem colleagues) couldn’t find a less confrontational way to handler their disagreements with Nancy Pelosi. Instead, Ocasio-Cortez, in particular gave Trump just the weapon he needed to inject himself into the squabble between them and Pelosi. But I’ll get to “the Squad” in my related response. This is about Trump….and Trump being Who and What he is …naturally he dived for the absolute lowest level. He’s a bottom-feeder. The deeper and darker the pit the lower he goes…and his supporters gladly follow. I heard someone say (paraphrasing) Regardless of whether Trump actually is a racist, when Racists believe you’re a Racist…You’re a racist. Let me be clear. Trump IS a racist and he doesn’t actually give a sh*t about… Read more »
