Happy TGIF!Okay. Three stories that caught a bit of my attention this week are:1. Mel Gibson’s latest outburst against his ex-girlfriend, the mother of his youngest child.Frankly, I feel that the history of Mel’s Greatest Rants” over the years (going back to, at least, the 1990s) against “f*ggots”, Jews, “n*ggers” and “wetbacks,” and “dysfunctional c*nts” etc… strongly suggest that Mel has some "Other" serious issues in addition to his problems with alcoholism. BTW: It seems Mel’s “ex” girlfriend is a piece of work too. But he chose to “get busy” with her_ and apparently, while he was yet still married to his wife of 29 yrs (and mother of his oldest 8 children)_so there you have it.Story #2: “Rush Limbaugh Calls George Steinbrenner a 'Cracker' in Tribute”As the nation mourned the death of New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner, conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh offered his own sort of eulogy:"That… Read more »
Good calls on the topics Truthiz.Mel Gibson; I don't care what Whoopi says, he needs help!Rush Limbaugh; He's a old shock jock. No telling what might come out his mouth. Not surprised.Jesse; Hasn't been relevent since the 80's. Needs to STFD and STFU!Hey how bout that oil spill?
"Jesse; Hasn't been relevent since the 80's. Needs to STFD and STFU!"LOL! Could not have said it better myself BD. In fact, I wish I had said it_LOL!About the oil spill?Well, it appears the cap is working for now_and I stress "FOR NOW." But it's the first bit of "good" news since this whole crisis began. In the meantime, this calamity will continue to play out until the reserved wells are completed. Hopefully then the crisis will actually be resolved. I just feel for the people living down there who are directly (and even indirectly) impacted by this whole thing.
HUH!?! Boy do I hate when I have an “out of body” experience; it really throws me off track for a few minutes! (slowly coming back to my senses) Charles Krauthammer: “Obama’s Next Act” (Fri, July 16, 2010)Excerpt: “Republicans underestimate him at their peril.”[Act One is over. The stimulus, Obamacare, financial reform have exhausted his first-term mandate. It will bear no more heavy lifting. And the Democrats will pay the price for ideological overreaching by losing one or both houses, whether de facto or de jure. The rest of the first term will be spent consolidating these gains (writing the regulations, for example) and preparing for Act Two. The next burst of ideological energy — massive regulation of the energy economy, federalizing higher education and "comprehensive" immigration reform (i.e., amnesty) — will require a second mandate, meaning reelection in 2012. That's why there's so much tension between Obama and congressional… Read more »
