PALIN GOES TEA PARTY-ING
“It’s so inspiring to see real people, not politicos, inside-the-beltway professionals, come out, stand up and speak out for common-sense conservative principles,” Palin said as she took on topics including national security, the economy, and mocked Democrats for the election of Republican Scott Brown to the Massachusetts Senate seat left vacant by the late Ted Kennedy. “America is ready for another revolution and you are a part of this.”
Tea Party organizers have repeatedly claimed they are not a partisan organization. But the selection of Sarah Palin as their Keynote Speaker along with her delivery of some “red meat” political positions during the speech, was so obviously partisan, the night often seemed like a cross between a typical GOP convention and an old fashioned Ku Klux Klan rally. Sarah Palin has also repeatedly denied she wants or intends to be a candidate for President in 2012. But her speech certainly seemed like the beginnings of her political campaign Part 2, and she’s now no longer denying her intentions when asked.
The most memorable applause moment of the evening came when Madam Palin mocked President Obama by asking, “How’s that hope-y, change-y stuff working out for you?” Once again the non partisan crowd was on their feet!
Sarah Palin used part of her speech Saturday night to mock President Obama for his regular use of a teleprompter. However, when the moderator asked Madam Palin a question during the Q&A portion of the evening, she was quick to look to her hand where she had strategically written the answer. I haven’t seen that trick since 7th Grade midterm exams. WATCH:
LOL Sarah Palin is a joke. I hope she does run so Saturday night live can make fun of her again. In that video she looks like a dumb cheerleader getting asked a question in school so she cheats and reads it off her hand. Too funny!
