Last weekend, Donald Trump damned social distancing and the use of masks by hosting a Nevada rally complete with more than 5,000 MAGA fanatics. When reporters asked attendees why they refused to wear a mask in the midst of an ongoing once-in-a-generation pandemic, this is what they had to say:

Then, when police broke up an overcrowded house party at Miami University in Ohio, they were shocked to learn that the party host was COVID-positive and thought merely staying home (with as many invited guests as he wanted) was the correct way to quarantine.

That’s exactly right, DJ. We will continue to suffer the worst impact of this deadly virus a whole lot longer than any other “developed” country because of ignorance and the reckless nature of so many Americans – mostly White by far in total numbers but also a sizable number of Blacks.
Trump and his collective population of “pan-dummies” are the biggest national security (and public health) threat to this nation. And unfortunately there’s not a darn thing We can do about it except to keep doing whatever we can to protect ourselves and loved-ones. And if you’re a person of Faith (as I am) – continue to pray.
