Pence Prepping To Become President?

Is Vice-President Mike Pence prepping to be president? With word of a covert resistance movement inside the Trump White House, it’s very likely that he is.

Politics
Pence has had his eye on the Oval Office since his days as a member of Congress.  In fact, the ultra-religious Pence is on record as saying he believes God wants him to be president — which is why it was an incredibly shrewd move for him to accept the VP slot under a troublesome Trump.

Pence

With a seemingly new scandal arising against “The Donald” almost every day, a still-pending Mueller investigation, and now, a secret White House resistance, a suspiciously silent Mike Pence is almost certainly biding his time until a constitutional crisis makes him the 46th President of the United States.

“Absolutely everything Mike Pence does is oriented toward him becoming president,” biographer Michael D’Antonio said while promoting his new book, “The Shadow President: The Truth About Mike Pence,” which he co-authored with Peter Eisner.

“His decision to accept Donald Trump’s offer to be his running mate” was a calculated move, added D’Antonio.  “He actually heard from his being, God’s direction, and he thought God was calling him to now be vice-president and function as a president-in-waiting.  So we see Donald Trump in this huge crisis, this rolling chaos, and I think with every day, Mike Pence imagines he’s one day closer to the Oval Office.”

When D’Antonio was asked if he believes Pence is maneuvering to get to the Oval Office even at the expense of Trump, he was very clear.

Pence

“Oh, I think yes. I think he’s positioning himself to be the normal guy—the guy you can trust,” D’Antonio responded.

“He’s out across the country continuously promoting the president’s agenda, but really promoting the development of his own network.  His infrastructure for running for office is complete,” D’Antonio added. “So should Trump stumble, should he decide not to run again, Pence 2020 would be an automatic thing.”

Since Pence has been actively angling to be president, the universal belief within political circles is that he is almost certainly the anonymous author of a controversial tell-all New York Times Op-Ed piece.

Titled “I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Trump Administration,” the unknown author said, “I work for the president but like-minded colleagues and I have vowed to thwart parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations.”

The article went on to detail how Trump’s closest aides have taken extraordinary measures within The White House to thwart what they believe to be his most dangerous impulses — even going so far as to swipe and hide papers from his desk so that he couldn’t sign them.

In light of the damning Op-Ed, the VP took to the Sunday news shows to deny the rumors of him being the author — even going as far as to volunteer for a lie detector test.

“Whoever wrote that editorial, and the narrative that comes out of some other writings recently, just doesn’t know what really happens in this White House,” Pence told CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “The only thing that’s wrong about that narrative is everything.”

Hmmm…

President Trump is facing a test to his presidency unlike any faced by a modern American leader. It’s not just that the special counsel looms large. Or that the country is bitterly divided over Mr. Trump’s leadership. Or even that his party might well lose the House to an opposition hellbent on his downfall. The dilemma — which he does not fully grasp — is that many of the senior officials in his own administration are working diligently from within to frustrate parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations. – Anonymous White House resistor

The Op-Ed coincides with a new book from legendary journalist Bob Woodward, entitled “Fear: Trump in the White House,” which provides an unprecedented look through the eyes of Donald Trump’s inner circle.

According to Woodward’s book, several of Trump’s top advisers view him as a direct threat to national security and say the situation inside The White House is much worse than anyone knows or understands.  Like the anonymous New York Times author, Woodward describes a dysfunctional Trump White House where senior aides are exasperated and increasingly worried about Trump’s erratic behavior, ignorance, and penchant for lying.

Could the source for the New York Times article and the Bob Woodward book be the same person: Mike Pence?  Since he has the most to gain from Trump’s demise, the silent and always agreeable Pence sure seems to be the likely candidate.  However, because the administration is staffed with actual adults who have years of experience in knowing how government works, the author or authors could be almost anyone.

Still, the question remains:  IF there is an actual resistance movement operating within the highest levels of the US government with the sole intention of preventing Donald Trump from causing a catastrophe, why are these people allowing him to continue as Commander-In-Chief and hold the nuclear launch codes?  If they truly believe things are so bad on the inside to where it necessitates protecting America and the world from Trump, why haven’t these people gone to Congress with the information they’re privy to and invoked the 25th Amendment to remove him?

Whoever the informant and the resistance members are inside The White House, it’s becoming increasingly clear that Donald Trump’s days are numbered.  Except, are we really ready for President Mike Pence?

“Could the source for the New York Times article and the Bob Woodward book be the same person: Mike Pence?” – DJ

Yes. and probably darn near everyone else who has ever served at the highest levels of this sh*t-show of a presidency.

Forgive me for repeating myself, yet again but Good Lord what a colossal mess we’ve got on our hands. A nest of venomous vipers! And as I’ve expressed before, I view Pence as even more dangerous than Trump because Pence is smart enough to keep his mouth shut about all the demented and totally wicked policies he’d like to enact until it’s much too late to try to stop him.

Mr.BD

It really could be anybody in there. I have no doubts Mike Pence took the job so he could be ready to take over when it came time. But I don’t think he is that stupid to talk to the press. Maybe John Kelly or somebody in national security like Trump said. But DJ made a good point. Instead of telling the Times this information they need to be telling congress. They should be using the amendment to get him out of there instead of hiding papers from him. All it takes is to miss one thing and we have a crisis. I do think Pence could be worse but at least nobody would be scared of him and by then we could have a Democrat controlled House to watch him. This thing has to be coming to a head soon.
