PENN STATE LOSES PATERNO PRIDE

Spread The Love

Fans of the late Penn State football coach Joe Paterno are in mourning today.

An independent investigation into the Penn State scandal involving convicted child molester Jerry Sandusky has been released, and it was not very kind or flattering to the legendary former football coach.

Louie Freeh

Joe Paterno’s famous good judgment and integrity were absolutely assaulted in the scathing report, which was conducted by former FBI Director Louie Freeh. According to Freeh, the longtime head football coach misled a grand jury about his knowledge of the 1998 child-abuse investigation of Jerry Sandusky.

Last year, Paterno said under oath that he knew nothing of the allegations against Sandusky until 2001. But according to the report issued last Thursday by Freeh, not only was Paterno aware of the 1998 investigation, but he followed the case closely until his death late last year.

The idea that Paterno paid no attention to the ’98 incident “is completely contradicted by the evidence,” Freeh said.

Last year, Penn State students embarrassed themselves by rioting in the streets in support of Paterno once the Sandusky charges were made public. Now, there are calls to remove Paterno’s name from buildings and to even remove the iconic statue of him from campus property.

You know …this story breaks my heart. I really does. When I think about how ALL of those people (everybody involved in this horrific crime) could go home and sleep at night knowing that defenseless children (young boys) were being literally eaten alive by a child predator on any given day…and those same people covered-up and LIED for that monster!?! Lord it makes me want to beat the daylights out of ALL of them, then lock them up and throw away the key. Sandusky should NOT be the only one spending the rest of his miserable life in jail. IMO, his enablers are even worse than he is…smh. And Penn State can take that d*mn statue of Paterno down anyday now.

See that's the part that's funny. Those dumb students and the whole campus were all brainwashed this guy could do no wrong. But he was sitting on a secret, all the while kids were getting molested. He could have stopped it but he didn't. Take that damn statue down. He doesn't deserve any honor.

I also want to add ….Regarding academics: Penn State is 2nd to None. I recieved an incredible education at that school (undergrad and grad). To say that it expanded my world in ways that I could NOT have imagined would be an UNderstatement. That said. I never attended a Penn State Football game. Never.I was never inclined to because I didn't like Paterno. I viewed the CULT-like worship of the man and HIS football program as quite sickening. And frankly what has Penn State Football been the past 15 yrs? Over the years I had expressed my feelings that Paterno should have been forced out of Penn State in the early 1990s. For the so-called "leadership" of a prominent University (or any school for that matter) to surrender its Power to anyone, let alone a football coach, just boggles my mind!?!That the University, in this case, is Penn State (My alma mater) makes it all the more sad for me.
