If there’s one thing I’ve discovered in my years on this planet, it’s that PEOPLE ARE GENERALLY STUPID!!!

Yes, I said it. Somebody needed to. And I’ll say it again: People are stupid. They hate to read directions, they hate to proofread what they’ve written before hitting “SEND” and they certainly don’t think before they speak.
Just scroll through Facebook, Twitter or the comments section of most any website or blog and you’ll see what I mean. If people aren’t stupidly using the word “YOUR” as if it’s the same as “YOU’RE,” they’re making asinine and nonsensical comments and removing all doubt that they are a true ignoramus.

Have you heard the one about the college student who asked his friend “What time is your 12:30 class?” Or about the diner who asked the waitress “What exactly is in pork and beans?” Or how about the Fox News anchor who brazenly announced to the world that “Jesus and Santa Claus are white??”

You've made my day with this one DJ. The only difference is, I don't believe that "people" in general are stupid. My frustration is directed more specifically at ONE group….AMERICANS. Based on tons of evidence provided by AMERICANS, over (at least) the past 15 years I'd to say that many, IF NOT MOST Americans are, generally, just plain Stupid. And sadly, I think being stupid and ignorant have become "as American as Apple pie." Dare I say that American culture promotes Stupidity and ignorance these days. Look at our schools (including Universities and so-called "Think Tanks" (rolling my eyes). Look at big business, Wall Street, corporate nepotism, the arts (movies, television, music, etc). Look at sports AT H.S., College AND PRO levels. And don't even get me started on people who serve at the highest levels of State and Federal government.
