I started snoozing as you said the last 1/2 hour. I usually am not bored. But this debate was a bit too long! I said Warren was the standout & I will stick by that minus her confusing health care for now! Great article! Thanks

I caught bits and pieces of it. I had some work to finish but to be honest I was bored like DJ said. Buttigieg was the best one up there and I am not sure yet he can beat Trump. Hopefully tonight will be better but that crop they showed us last night was a disappointment for me.

Just a word about Warren and Sanders………

DJ is correct, Warren and Sanders “are so similar, they each canceled out.”

And if neither of them wins the nomination it will, IMO, serve them both right because frankly what I saw last night going on between the two (a kind of buddy-buddy thing) was a real turn-off for me.

Not accusing them of having a tactical agreement between themselves. But I am saying it was obvious to me the two of them preferred to NOT actually challenge each other; instead they worked together in taking on everyone else.

Great summary DJ. Your points are spot on, beginning with: “Had Bernie, Liz, and Mayor Pete not been on the stage, Tuesday night’s debate would have been an epic fail. However, even with those 3 big names in the mix, the evening still ended as a snooze-fest.”

I agree with you on Marianne Williamson – “she did initiate some rather substantial and surprising discussions regarding universal health care/medicare for all and slavery reparations for African-Americans.”

And Pete Buttigieg: “So, if there was 1 winner, Pete Buttigieg was probably it. He continues to look more impressive and appear more and more presidential.”

Frankly, if it were not for the fact that Buttigieg is a Gay man married to a man – AND the racial conflict in his city that he admittedly Failed to address – I think he’d actually be Joe Biden’s biggest challenger.
