And that extends to his spot-on analysis of why Democrats — and Hillary Clinton in particular — lost the 2016 election to President Donald Trump.

“We spent, I think, way too much time on our side talking about him,” Buttigieg said in an interview with “The Breakfast Club,” a New York City-based radio show, which ran Tuesday morning. “Our whole message was don’t vote for him because he is terrible. And even because he is, that is not a message.”

That is the single best — and most concise — encapsulation of why Clinton lost and Trump won that I have heard from anyone — Democrat, Republican or independent in the two-plus years since the 2016 election.

But this is not his time though. He is only 37 so he has a lot of time to be president if that is what he wants to do. But blacks, women, gays I just don’t think are going to beat Trump. We have to put the sure winner up this time around. We can try other things in the next election after this.

I have to agree with you Truth there is zero chance this guy can win. Trump and religion conservatives would eat hm for breakfast over being gay. But he is smart so they should give him a White House or cabinet job if the Dems win.
