Martin ‘Pharma Bro’ Shkreli, who became the most hated man in America after hiking the cost of a life-saving HIV drug by 5000% was sentenced to 7 years in prison last week for defrauding investors out of more than $10 million.

Over the years, Pharma Bro has come to be known for his cocky attitude and incessant “You Don’t Scare Me” smirk on his face. However, last week, the 34-year-old Shkreli was tearful and begged for leniency in court once it became clear that his millionaire bad-boy act was on its way to the federal penitentiary.
I look back and I’m embarrassed and ashamed,” he told the court. “I am terribly sorry,” he said to his investors, “I lost your trust.” “There’s no conspiracy to take down Martin Shkreli. I took down Martin Shkreli with my disgraceful and shameful actions.”
For his crimes, Martin Shkreli will spend the next several years in jail. Additionally, he must forfeit $7.4 million to repay investors, including the single edition Wu-Tang album that was owned exclusively by him.
