POLL: Should The GOP Sue/Impeach
President Obama?
Unbiased Political News
On January 20, 2009, Barack Obama was inaugurated as the first black President of the United States. That same day, the Republican Party held a meeting promising to block any and every thing this new black president ever wanted to accomplish. They have kept their word TO. THE. LETTER.
.
Mr. Obama’s first win as president was seen by Republicans as a fluke. They convinced themselves he was only elected because every black person and liberal alive voted for him and that such success would never dare elect him yet again. On November 6, 2012, they learned just how wrong they were.
A “black” man in the “White” House was not supposed to happen once, let alone twice. With an extremely lopsided victory over Mitt Romney that Republicans (once again) never saw coming, they became hell-bent to find a way to get this “African” out of office. Yesterday!
The plan to sue was hatched early on, however it quietly and temporarily went away while Republicans figured out some legal reason that could hold up in a court of law as to why they were actually doing it. They also needed to figure out if they were suing Barack Obama “the man” or Barack Obama “the President of the United States.” Eventually, Boehner and his cronies decided to go after Obama via Obamacare — the president’s signature health care accomplishment. The huge problem (among a plethora of problems) is that although the president introduced the bill, it was the Democratic and REPUBLICAN members of congress who actually voted it into existence. Hmmm…
Leave it to the “not-so-bright” (a self admission) Sarah Palin, who came to the rescue wielding the “I” word: IMPEACHMENT. Anything to burn a cross coral a cavalry of Republicans to get this “African” out of office.
The popularity of the plan to impeach Obama swept through the GOP like an ice cream truck handing out freebies at a fat farm. No one had seen such “anti-Obama” excitement among right-wing conservatives since the early days of 2008, when Republicans would gather at McCain/Palin rallies calling the Obama’s Muslims, terrorists, monkeys, and other racially tinged epithets.
The impeachment process was designed to be a tool of last resort, against a president who has engaged in criminal behavior, committing “treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors.” Personally disliking the president or wanting to change the results of an election without having to wait until the next election were never meant to be grounds for the impeachment process. However, Republicans consider this a slight formality.
The GOP want to sue and impeach the President of the United States. We all know why and their real motives behind it. They’re just having a tough time coming up with a legitimate legal reason that could stand up longer than 5 minutes in any court of law to bolster their ploy.
This “Get-Obama-Out-Of-Office-By-Any-Means-Necessary” mentality is yet another example of ultra right-wing conservative ideology hurting the GOP establishment’s election chances. Speaker Boehner knows plans of impeachment are beyond ignorant. However, he also knows that impeachment is hugely popular among conservatives. So to save face, he has begun calling the plan a “scam” created by Democrats to motivate their base to vote and donate ahead of the midterm elections. Or in other words, Republicans invented the lawsuit/impeachment plan. Now that it appears to be blowing up in their faces, they want to pretend Democrats invented the whole idea in order to make them look bad. Wow!
Unbiased Political News
A recent CNN/ORC poll found that 57% of Republicans and 56% of conservatives support impeachment. The problem is, while the GOP’s base supports impeachment, moderate and independent voters do not. That means 65% of Americans believe impeachment of President Obama is insanity. According to Aaron Blake at The Washington Post, this dilemma now leaves Republicans with 3 options:
– Oppose impeachment and have their congressional seat challenged by a right-wing Tea Partier.
– Support impeachment (which won’t pass) and prove that the GOP is run by its radical wing.
– Continue to dodge the question and hopefully run out the clock.
The GOP has been dead for a while. However this wildly concocted plan to sue and/or impeach is the equivalent of digging up a badly decomposing corpse, then shooting it 100 times just to be sure it’s really dead. This is overkill and sadly, the Republicans are the ones killing themselves all over again.
Will the Republican Party sue President Obama? Will they attempt to impeach him? Should they proceed with either of these plans, or should they simply go crawl back into their coffin and close it?

Welp (sigh).the fact that Sarah "NOT-so-bright" Palin is leading the Repubs on this_combined with pics like the one above showing a right-wing hater who, IMO, exemplifies so clearly the typical Repub "base" voter_tells you all you need to know about that party. So with with those factors in mind:
"Will the Republican Party sue President Obama? Will they attempt to impeach him?"
I doubt they'll do either. However, given the absolute m*cked-up mentality of those people, you never know(?)
The Dems are certainly hoping the Repubs proceed with their plans.
But I suspect tat this point, most of America wish the Repubs would "simply go crawl back into their coffin and close it. "
