POLL: Will You Shop On Thanksgiving Day?
Every year, the holiday shopping season creeps up earlier and earlier. With holiday commercials appearing even before Halloween this year, it’s no secret that the commercialism of Christmas has gotten out of hand. But what about when the launch of the holiday shopping season interrupts the spirit of Thanksgiving?

Current Events
Traditionally, stores and malls have been opening in the wee hours of Black Friday — which has always been the day after Thanksgiving — thereby giving shoppers the opportunity to enjoy a day of thanks with their families. However, all that has changed.

Many stores across the country are planning to continue a tradition started last year of opening on Thanksgiving Day, effectively cutting short the traditional day of thanks in the interest of the almighty buck.  So, hurry up and wolf down that turkey and dressing, because the 6am mad rush into stores on Black Friday in order to save a few bucks on a no-name TV has now been moved to Thanksgiving afternoon!

Is this going too far?  Should it still be “Black Friday” instead of this new “Black Thursday?” You decide!
