Everybody seems to love the new Popeye’s Chicken Sandwich. However, that love went entirely too far recently inside a Houston-area restaurant.

For weeks, folks have been lining up out the door and around the corner for the popular spicy chicken sandwich. In fact, the sandwiches became so popular that Popeye’s locations across the country regularly ran out of them prompting the national headquarters to discontinue the sandwich for the foreseeable future.
However, that didn’t stop a group of chicken sandwich lovers who were hell-bent on getting the sandwich come hell or high water.

According to Houston police, a gun-wielding group of chicken fanatics unsuccessfully attempted to order the Popeye’s Chicken Sandwich over the weekend. When their order went unfulfilled, one member of the group pulled a gun and demanded that the order be filled immediately. That’s when a manager intervened and told the group the store had sold out of the delectable delight and simply had no sandwiches left to give him. The group immediately fled the store and sped away in an SUV.
Police are currently combing surveillance footage to determine the identity of the near-chicken thieves in order to bring them to justice.

Honestly, when I first heard about this a few days ago I really thought it had to be a joke….a sick joke…but a joke nonetheless. Sadly, it wasn’t a joke. Some Black fool actually pulled a gun on Pop-eye employees behind a friggin chicken sandwich!?! I hope they identify the guy and throw his dangerous azz under the jail.
Smh……You cannot make this stuff up.
