If you Google “child genius,” you’ll likely come up with a photo of young Carson, who is starting his Freshman year at Texas Christian University. “I’m taking calculus, physics, history and religion. Those are my four classes,” Carson told his local news station. “It’s fun because it’s basically just like high school, but in a big campus…with a lot more people.”
So exactly how did Carson make it to college in 11 short years, you ask? He was co-valedictorian of his senior class. He scored a 1770 on his SAT. He speaks Mandarin Chinese and just so happens to play the piano. Now he is studying to become a quantum physicist.

“He’s definitely very talented and also he’s very serious about his work and he really enjoys it,” said associate math professor Qiao Zhang. “And that’s the best that a professor can hope for his students, right?”
If Carson graduates in 4-5 years as expected, he will claim a college degree before he even gets his driver’s license.
