President Promises Healthcare.gov Fix
Current Events
In a press conference yesterday from the White House, the president addressed the known problems of the site and accepted full responsibility for its failure to live up to expectations. “Nobody’s madder than me about the website not working as well as it should,” Mr. Obama said, adding “which means it’s going to get fixed.” There’s “no excuse for the problems,” he continued, guaranteeing that tech experts have been brought in to work 24/7 to get the site up to speed.
The president’s words followed a statement from the White House on Sunday. “Our team is bringing in some of the best and brightest from both inside and outside government to scrub in with the team and help improve healthcare.gov,” the administration posted on the website of the US Department of Health and Human Services. “We’re also putting in place tools and processes to aggressively monitor and identify parts of healthcare.gov where individuals are encountering errors or having difficulty using the site.”

In their constant fight against Obamacare, Republican leaders have called for the resignation of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius.
