PRIZED AUTHOR EMBARRASES FOX NEWS
After being the brunt of jokes for reporting their own version of the news and for getting election night 2012 so horrifically wrong, one would think Fox News might have learned their lesson by now. Think again!
Fake Fox News invited Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Thomas Ricks on air to discuss his new book “The Generals.” Ricks was asked about the attack in Benghazi and Sen. John McCain’s criticism of U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, who is widely expected to replace Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State.
“I think Benghazi was generally hyped by this network especially,” Ricks said, to the shock and surprise of co-anchor Jon Scott. But when Scott handed Ricks another opportunity to “fix” his remarks and throw the network a bone, Ricks hit him with another zinger.
“I think the emphasis on Benghazi has been extremely political, partly because Fox is operating as the wing of the Republican Party.” Ouch!
Feeling the sting of embarrassment, Scott abruptly thanked Ricks and pulled the plug on the interview only seconds after it began. It was sheer comedy!
