Pssst… HEY NEWT, IT’S OVER!

Spread The Love

On Monday, GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich said if he were to lose Tuesday’s primary battle in Delaware, he would be forced to “reassess” his campaign.  Well yesterday, Newt lost Delaware — and Connecticut and New York and Pennsylvania and Rhode Island — all to presumptive nominee Mitt Romney. So, what’s up Newt?

Gingrich is on record as saying he intends to remain in the race all the way to the Republican convention in August.  But with no money, few supporters left and no justification on how he can still numerically construct a win for the nomination, Gingrich is a political “dead man walking.”

Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul are like the last 2 guys in a nightclub:  it’s 5am, the lights are on and the janitors are mopping the floor, yet they’re still hanging around hoping for a miracle “score.”  RNC Chairman Reince Pribus said earlier this week that he was reluctant to ask either candidate to drop out of the race, but do they really need someone to alert them to the obvious?

As the old song goes, “The party’s over… it’s time to call it a day.”  How unfortunate that Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul are the last to know it.

Not only does Newt's campaign NOT have any more money, it's been reported in recent days that his campaign is now $5 MILLION + IN DEBT. Add THAT to his already sorry history, and Newt (like all the other GOP presidential clowns) somehow thinks himself qualified to be President!?!He's a joke. His campaign is a joke. He's only hanging on to pester Romney and at this point it doesn't appear that he's even accomplishing that(?)

As for Ron Paul…or more specifically his supporters: Perhaps NOW they will face reality?1st: They are a loud but very small group. 2nd: Paul couldn't even muster up enough votes to win ONE caucus or primary in ANY state.3. His presidential campaign was *OVER* before it got started.

Looks like Newt heard you DJ…MSNBC: "Gingrich to leave campaign, but not the national spotlight"Newt Gingrich will suspend his campaign next week, ending his pursuit of the presidency, but almost certainly not his life in the national spotlight.NBC News learned that Gingrich will suspend his campaign on May 1, and may well endorse Mitt Romney, his nemesis throughout the primary season. But if one thing seems unassailably true about the end of Newt Gingrich's bid for the presidency, it's that we haven't seen the end of Newt Gingrich. […]Read: http://nbcpolitics.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/04/25…HAH. While we probably haven't *HEARD* the last of Newt, I'd say, we're certainly SEEING his political END.
