Racist Dog Whistle From Racist Donald Trump
Donald Trump is back to his old tricks with a new racist dog whistle that he hopes will salvage his sinking re-election campaign.
Politics
On Wednesday, Trump stoked racist fears by blowing a racist dog whistle to suburban White Americans who may be fearful of low-income housing infiltrating their pristine suburban white neighborhoods.
Using his trademark fear-mongering language, Trump took to Twitter to announce that “people living their Suburban Lifestyle Dream will no longer be bothered or financially hurt by having low-income housing built in your neighborhood.” He was referring to his recent rollback of a signature Obama-era program which was designed to combat racial segregation in suburban housing.
“Your housing prices will go up based on the market, and crime will go down,” Trump tweeted.
Although campaign aides have tried everything possible to get ‘The Donald’ to focus his re-election hopes on combating the deadly coronavirus pandemic, Trump has seemed hell-bent on sticking with what he knows: stoking racial tensions, expanding the racial divide, and using a racist dog whistle to convince White Americans that their only hope of avoiding the “Black-Boogeyman” is to re-elect him so that he and he alone can keep them safe.
“People fight all of their lives to get into the suburbs and have a beautiful home,” Trump said during a Wednesday speech in West Texas. “There will be no more low-income housing forced into the suburbs.”
“It’s been hell for suburbia,” he added, before telling the audience to “enjoy your life, ladies and gentlemen.”

I am happy to inform all of the people living their Suburban Lifestyle Dream that you will no longer be bothered or financially hurt by having low income housing built in your neighborhood…

Trump’s ongoing strategy of promoting racial division and white supremacy coincides with a recent tweet he directed to “the Suburban Housewives of America,” warning, “Biden will destroy your neighborhood and your American Dream.”
His methods are both predictable and pathetic.
“Instead of finally leading, Donald Trump is yet again attempting to distract from his catastrophic, failed response to the pandemic by trying to divide our nation,” Biden campaign spokesman Andrew Bates said. “Turning Americans against each other with total lies is unacceptable for a commander-in-chief at any time, but it’s especially heinous to do so in a moment of worsening crisis.”
“Trump is playing old New York politics from the 1990s,” Democratic pollster Jef Pollock said. “The reality is that more and more suburban voters have embraced diversity as a positive thing for their community. They support the Black Lives Matter movement, and from an aspirational perspective, they want their children to grow up in a more tolerant and less divided country. What’s scary to them is the constant division and intolerance that Trump is promulgating.”

Now see DJ there you go again…being much too kind. You know “good-N-well” that that AIN’T no “racist dog whistle.” It’s a racist dog BARK!
“Trump is playing old New York politics from the 1990s,” Democratic pollster Jef Pollock said.
Puleeeze! That kind of blatantly racist politics goes way back further than that to the mid-to-late 1960s thru the 70s, 80s and into the 90s.
But I absolutely agree with DJ: “His methods are both predictable and pathetic.”
