Thank you for being on top of the story. Here is the update:

Under increasing pressure from major corporations that do business in Georgia, Gov. Nathan Deal announced Monday he will veto a bill that critics say would have curtailed the rights of Georgia's LGBT community.

"I do not think we have to discriminate against anyone to protect the faith-based community in Georgia, of which I and my family have been a part of for all of our lives," he said.

His decision, he said, was "about the character of our state and the character of our people. Georgia is a welcoming state. It is full of loving, kind and generous people. … I intend to do my part to keep it that way. For that reason I will veto House Bill 757."

Now let's see what North Carolina does.

Btw DJ this part of your story got me. "Homosexuality is a hot topic among many Christian circles. Bible-Thumpers are quick to elevate the “sin” of homosexuality and condemn it with every fiber of their being, then go home and fornicate, lust, have pre-marital sex, or even engage in adultery. In other words, being gay is an abomination, but the rest is ok! ' LOL

Btw- This nonsense goes back even further than the KKK. Let's not forget that certain scriptures in the Bible and religious beliefs was often used by "Christian" slave-owners to justify Slavery.

Re: "North Carolina Gay Bias Law"

The immediate trigger for the legislature’s action was the passage of an anti-discrimination ordinance in Charlotte last month that would permit transgender people to use public bathrooms that correspond with their gender identity, rather than their gender at birth. But the law passed by the legislature on Wednesday night, which prohibits municipalities from passing their own ordinances allowing such bathroom use, also prevents cities from protecting gays and bisexual people against discrimination generally. Homosexuality is a hot topic among many Christian circles. In other words, being gay is an abomination, but the rest is ok!

In their futile quest to halt homosexuality, so-called “Christians” did everything within their power to stop same-sex marriage — all while themselves marrying and divorcing multiple times and/or frequently cheating on their spouses. When their scheme didn’t work, they quickly segued into Plan B: Refuse to serve gays and use the bible as ample excuse. […]

And that really is the crux of the matter isn't it? They want the "religious freedom" to live like hypocritical DOGS themselves while sitting in judgement of people like me and wanting to deny me my right to even exist, let alone be granted Equal Rights and protections under the law.

The truth is, there is nothing *Christian* about those sick and Hateful people. They are extremely Obsessed with Gay sex and that's all there is to it. They cannot help themselves. They cannot let it go.
