Michael Clarke Duncan, the hulk-like character actor known for his Oscar-nominated performance as a death row inmate in “The Green Mile” and other box office hits including “Armageddon,” ”Planet of the Apes” and “Kung Fu Panda,” has died.
Clarke passed away yesterday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he had been since suffering a heart attack nearly 2 months ago. His fiancee, reality TV personality Omarosa Manigault, was by his side and issued a joint statement of his death along with his publicist, Joy Fehily.
Duncan “suffered a myocardial infarction on July 13th and never fully recovered,” the statement said. “Manigault is grateful for all of your prayers and asks for privacy at this time. Celebrations of his life, both private and public, will be announced at a later date.”
I had no idea he had suffered a heart-attack in July!..and was saddened to hear of his passing yesterday.The man was great in "The Green Mile."May he R.I.P.
