Remembering Michael Jackson: 5 Years Later
It may be hard to believe, but it has been 5 years since the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away at his Beverly Hills mansion.

e Entertainment
On June 25, 2009, in a desperate search for sleep as he prepared for a comeback tour that he hoped would pull him out of enormous debt and restore his reputation as the world’s top entertainer, Jackson begged his physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, to inject him with a deadly, but sleep inducing drug. Propofol, which is normally used as an anesthetic for surgery patients and under strict supervision, entered Jackson’s body and put him into deep slumber — one that he never recovered from.

Since Michael’s death, his 3 children have gone through personal struggles and grown into teenagers. Dr. Conrad Murray was convicted, jailed and recently released for his role in the injection that ended the pop singer’s life.  And the deeply in debt Jackson has grown wealthier in death than he was in life, with record sales, book and movie rights and merchandising deals pushing the wealth of his estate into the high millions.

As many have said over the years, it would have been difficult to see Michael Jackson grow into an old and frail man.  Perhaps this is the reason he, Marilyn Monroe, Princess Diana and others like them, all died young.

Continue to rest peacefully, Michael!
