Report: ARETHA FRANKLIN HAS CANCER
Recently, the Queen of Soul canceled all of her scheduled concert dates at least until mid 2011 “at the insistence” of her doctors. She was hospitalized in late October and underwent an undisclosed surgery earlier this month. Now, Fox 2 News in Detroit says a close relative of the 68-year-old singer has confirmed the diagnosis as pancreatic cancer, while another relative reportedly added that the family is “very concerned.”
Following her surgery, Franklin released a press statement saying that the procedure was “highly successful.” After visiting Franklin in the hospital, Rev. Jesse Jackson said that she was “recovering, and her spirits are high.” He added that “She’s doing very well. She’s very prayerful. She’s a woman of deep religious faith.”
Our thoughts and prayers go out to her for a full and speedy recovery.
No proof that is what she has. Only media speculation. Let's not spread this around. Let's just hold her up in prayer and be her "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" while she is on the mend.
