Fox News Is Bad For Republicans
A prominent Republican has lashed out with a surprise commentary, boldly stating that Fox News is bad for the Republican Party.
Unbiased Political News
Yes, conservative historian Bruce Bartlett, a fellow Republican and former member of the George HW Bush and Reagan administrations, had some choice words for members of his own party. Bartlett didn’t mince words, going as far as calling most GOP’ers limited in their thinking and even brainwashed.
“Conservatives were told and actually believed during the 2012 election that ALL the polls predicting Romney was losing were wrong, that he was doing much better than the “liberal media” wanted anyone to believe and that he was going to win. Which is why when he lost badly, so many conservatives were blindsided with disbelief, because FOX News and others had convinced them of an outright lie.”
– Bruce Bartlett
He went on to say that many conservatives live in a bubble. They only watch FOX News, listen to conservative radio like Rush Limbaugh, or exclusively read conservative blogs and websites. Their entire viewpoint is tainted by a self-brainwashing, which results in limited knowledge and an ignorance to reality. Ouch!
Considering Bartlett’s commentary, truer words have never been spoken.
The over-the-top programming on Fox News, including its bevy of baseless claims and outright falsehoods, has been labeled as entertainment. But it is not. Fox routinely designs its stories to favor the Republican Party’s legislative agenda. Or, to put it bluntly, Fox News is designed to shape and change American politics, while doing damage to Democrats and Democratic initiatives. It is an extremely biased marketing arm for the Republican Party, which makes its network slogan “Fair and Balanced” a laughable contradiction.
Bruce Bartlett told it like it is. It’s not everyday a Republican publicly rips other Republicans. Don’t believe it? Take a look at the video.

Bruce Bartlett seems to be a man of integrity. …at least the Bruce Bartlett, I've come to know thru his *straight-up, no chaser* commentaries; especially commentaries concerning the colossal mess his party has become.
I've been reading his works for nearly 8 yrs. His commentary on the negative influences of Faux Noise doesn't surprise me at all.
He, and other Conservatives of his ilk (True Conservatives), have been trying to SOUND the alarm FOR YEARS regarding many troubling aspects of the Repub party. And for years, the Repub party has ignored him/them.
I don't see that changing anytime soon.
