Republican Voters Urged To Vote Democrat?

Spread The Love

As the ultimate proof that we’re living in extremely topsy-turvy times, Republican voters are being urged by Republican politicians to vote for Democratic candidates in Tuesday’s midterm election.

Politics :
A faction within the GOP has recognized that if election deniers inside their own party win races across the country, democracy will be all but dead. They also hope to save their party from succumbing to a complete Donald Trump takeover.

Republican Voters

According to HuffPost, the Republican Accountability Project has launched a $3-million advertising campaign in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Ohio. The group of Republicans is targeting Americans via cable television, Facebook, and YouTube and features the voices of other Republican voters who accept President Joe Biden’s victory — but condemn Donald Trump’s lies and attempts to undermine free and fair elections.

“The dangers I see associated with all of the election deniers is it makes people think that our elections aren’t safe,” a Republican voter from Pennsylvania said during a 30-second ad. “And that is the bedrock of our democracy — free elections, the transition of power, and those are the things that we must protect.”

“Not everybody’s going to agree with me. That’s probably a good thing,” a Republican voter named ‘Chad’ said in his spot. “But when you start talking about questioning just the foundation of the elections and things like that, that’s taking things to an entirely different level and that’s a true threat to our democratic system.”

Another high-profile member of the GOP is also nudging Republican voters not to vote for Republican candidates in the midterms.

Republican Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming is so fearful of what members of her own party might do if elected, that she’s taken to providing full-throated endorsements of Democratic candidates.

Earlier this week, Rep. Cheney waded into Ohio’s hotly contested Senate race and threw her support behind Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan.

Yes, during an appearance on the PBS NewsHour, Cheney said she would not vote for Republican newcomer J.D. Vance and encouraged voters to support Rep. Ryan instead.

Rep. Cheney also asked Michigan Republicans to re-elect Democratic Rep. Elissa Slotkin.

“The chips are down for us. This is our time of testing,” Ms. Cheney said to thunderous applause. “We all must stand and defend the republic.”

Thankfully, Rep. Cheney is now and has previously been a huge proponent of protecting election credibility and American democracy. Only time will tell if her efforts are helpful in saving America from the GOP.

I don’t like rushing my life but honestly, this time, I’m ready for the midterm elections to be over with already.

For better…or for worse.

I have to say I respect Liz Cheney for fighting so hard to save democracy. She sees what is really going on and at least her and Kinzinger is trying to do something. She is probably too late though.
