Shirley Sherrod and the Spooner’s have reunited!
Roger Spooner and his wife Eloise, both of whom Shirley Sherrod referenced in her speech to the NAACP, have always been grateful to the former USDA employee for helping them save their farm. Which is why they were so surprised once the brouhaha involving Shirley, Andrew Breitbart, the NAACP, the White House, and racism came to pass.
But with the bulk of the situation now behind her, Shirley Sherrod took a moment last Friday to reunite with her friends the Spooner’s, in an emotional and touching moment that had absolutely nothing to do with race — and everything to do with friendship.
