Thank you for your kind words, Truthiz1. I often go out of my way to NOT write posts involving Donald Trump, but he makes that task very difficult by providing bizarre news on a near-daily basis. Nevertheless, it was important to write this story about 2 genuine legends. Very happy to know that your dad was a “Fats” fan — and that you freely use the word “youngin.'” 😉

First: Thank you DJ for posting this news. The American cable news media continues to be SO fixated on “all things Trump”…covering, in my estimate, 99.9 % of nothing but Trump-related crap, 24/7….it’s good to know there are sites – like this site- where NON-Trump-related news is also covered.

My father grew up in “Philly” during the 50’s. As a youngin’ he cut his teeth (if you will) on the music of Fats Domino, Little Richard and other Rock-n-Roll pioneers.
