R&B superstar Robert Kelly, better known as R. Kelly, is once again a convicted pedophile.

On Wednesday, a federal jury in Chicago found Kelly guilty of making videotapes of him sexually abusing his then-14-year-old goddaughter. More specifically and after deliberating for 11 hours over a span of 2 days, the jury convicted Kelly of 3 of the first 4 counts of the indictment, which charged the singer with the sexual exploitation of “Jane” for the purpose of producing child pornography. He was acquitted on a 4th count.
The verdict comes 14 years after Robert Kelly was acquitted of allegedly abusing Jane in the hot tub room of his former Chicago home in the late 1990s.
Over the span of the five-week trial, the jury viewed clips from 3 separate videos which allegedly depicted Robert Kelly abusing Jane. The clips included the same tape from his previous Cook County trial as well as another where he instructed the young girl to repeatedly refer to her “14-year-old” genitalia.
“You saw how (Kelly) was using her body, flipping her over, throwing her around like she was some rag doll. That’s what this case is about,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeannice Appenteng said during closing arguments.
“What R. Kelly wanted was to have sex with young girls,” Appenteng added. “And what the people around him wanted… they wanted to help their boss, including helping him get away with it.”
Much of R. Kelly’s pedophilia sickness was depicted in the 2019 Lifetime docuseries “Surviving R. Kelly.” It was during that time that Kelly was indicted on charges of producing and receiving child pornography, enticing minors for sex, and obstruction of justice.
Robert Kelly is already in jail on a 30-year sentence after a federal jury in Brooklyn found him guilty of racketeering conspiracy in September of 2021. He was also convicted on 8 other counts which found that the singer used his organization to lure and trap girls, boys, and young women to satisfy his sexually predatory desires.

(Sigh!) I will never understand monstrous creatures like R. Kelly and the family member who sexually abused me when I was a young child (much younger than 14 y/o).
Frankly it’s a miracle I didn’t grow up hating men. It was the Grace of God and the love of a strong family that brought me through. Still, I will always wonder IF that’s the reason I ended up being gay? But I digress.
Doing real harm to ANY child in any manner is a sickness of the heart, mind and spirit that is so dark and so Evil that I cannot even imagine how such creatures live with themselves!?! My abuser is deceased now.
Fortunately, R. Kelly is finally where he should’ve been sent a long time ago. Locked-up in prison. where he can do No More harm to children!
