ROMNEY BOOED BY NAACP
Mitt Romney was welcomed at the NAACP conference yesterday, but it wasn’t quite the welcome he was hoping for.
During his remarks to the mostly black and Democratic crowd, Romney was booed mercilessly when he vowed to repeal President Obama’s signature health care reform law.
“I’m going to eliminate every non-essential, expensive program I can find, that includes Obamacare” Romney said before the crowd showed their disapproval and interrupted him for nearly 15 seconds.
The boos caused an abrupt halt in the middle the speech, with Romney looking awkward and uncomfortable. After what seemed like an eternity, Romney then went off script, forcing a pained smile as the booing continued.
Historically, Republican presidential candidates have always spoken at the NAACP convention. The reception has always been polite, but in the end their attendance has always amounted to a colossal waste of time. No votes were being swayed toward the GOP.
Come on! Did Romney really think this was the ideal crowd to bash “Obamacare” in front of?

"Did Romney really think this was the ideal crowd to bash "Obamacare" in front of?"Nope. Which is why he did it…to appeal to his REAL audience…his right-wing base.Unfortunately, IMO, both Romney and the NAACP crowd acted predictably…which ain't good for the country. 🙁
